In order to discard the e-mails which might contain malicious files, you have to follow the next steps:
- Connect to your cPanel account.
-
Navigate to Email category and click on Email Filters.
NOTE: If you want to apply the filter for all email accounts, click on Global Email Filters.
-
Choose the e-mail address which you want to set the filter for and click on Manage Filters.
-
To add a new rule, click on "Create a New Filter" button.
-
Set the name for the filter and add a new rule for each type of extension you want to block (see below the potential malicious file extensions). To save the filter, click on Create.
WARNING: The rule will reject all messages that contain one of the mentioned extensions. If you want to keep the messages in another folder, you will need to create a new folder and choose "Deliver to another folder" as the action.
