- Click on the menu symbol in the upper right corner of Thunderbid and then click on "New"
- From the New menu, select "Existing email account ...".
- In the window that appears, fill in the username that will be displayed in correspondence with the email address for which the account and its password are configured. After filling in these fields, the "Manual configuration" button will be activated.
NOTE: Email Client Settings can be found in cPanel: cPanel E-Mail settings for configuring the e-mail client - Click on "Manual Configuration", and in the new fields you fill in the following:
- Incoming: IMAP is recommended (select from drop-down menu):
- Hostname: mail.example.com (fill in mail. and the domain name to which the e-mail address belongs)
- Port: 993
- SSL: SSL/TLS
- Authentication: Autodetect
- Outgoing (SMTP):
- Hostname: mail.example.com (fill in mail. and the domain name to which the e-mail address belongs)
- Port: 465
- SSL: SSL/TLS
- Authentication: Autodetect
- Username: The email address for which the account is set up for both Receive and Send
NOTE: "Save password" must be checked.
- Incoming: IMAP is recommended (select from drop-down menu):
- Once all settings have been completed properly, the Done button will become active. Click "Done (D)" to complete the setup.
