Setting up Outlook for Mac with cPanel e-mail settings

1. When you open Outlook, you will be asked to enter your email address.

2. To configure your e-mail address with IMAP or POP, click on “Not Exchange?” and then select your option.

3. Depending on the chosen protocol, IMAP or POP, complete the fields as follows:

NOTE: E-mail client settings can be found in cPanel: cPanel E-Mail settings for configuring the e-mail client  

• IMAP Username: Your full e-mail address (e.g. name@yourdomain.com)
• IMAP Incoming Server: mail.exemplu.ro (replace with mail.yourdomain.com)
• The port number must be 993, with SSL encryption.

NOTE: To display SMTP settings, click Show Advanced Settings.

• SMTP Outgoing Server: mail.exemplu.ro (replace with mail.yourdomain.com)
• SMTP port should be 465, with SSL encryption.

NOTE: If the outgoing server was set to POP in the previous step, its port number must be set to 995, with SSL encryption.

4. If the settings are correct, it should provide a confirmation message. Click on “Done” button to close the window.
